I'm excited to announce that I have written the first four books in a series titled Kitty is Not a Cat! The books are based on the animation series of the same name. Hachette Australia are publishing.

A warmly funny junior-fiction series about Kitty, a little girl who believes she can be anything she dreams - even a cat.

The series revolves around a gutsy girl protagonist living in an adult-free world, learning what it means to be human from a group of kind-hearted but ill-informed cats. Kitty is brave, curious and fierce but she's also kind.

The first two books, Lights Out! and Teddy's Bear are being released in July, 2020.

When Kitty arrives on the doorstep of a house full of music-mad felines, their lives are turned upside down as they attempt to teach her how to be human. With clever, heartwarming storylines and gorgeous colourful artwork, the Kitty is Not a Cat chapter books will be enjoyed by children and parents alike for years to come.

First broadcast in 2018, the TV series of Kitty is Not a Cat is aimed at six to 10-year-olds and follows the story of a group of stray cats living in dilapidated mansion who find themselves looking after a little girl called Kitty. The show has been sold into 85 countries and translated into more than 25 languages around the world. A second series of the show is currently in production and set for broadcast in early 2020. It is created and produced by BES Studios in Melbourne. The series is voiced by well-known Australian comedians and actors such as Rove McManus, Cal Wilson, Marg Downey and Stephen Hall.
